Marc Blehert is an Account Manager with Mocon, Inc, a global leader in the supply of instruments, test and consulting services for gas detection, measurement and analysis. Marc is responsible for sales of Mocon’s quality assurance solutions
to the food and pharmaceutical packaging industry. He spent his junior year of college abroad as an exchange student at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan. Then, upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Marc worked
for the Tennant Company Japan Branch in Kawasaki, Japan from 1996 through 1999. Marc has worked closely supporting Japanese customers throughout his career, has travelled extensively throughout Japan and has been a JASM member since 1995.
Ted Dorenkamp is a partner at Bowman and Brooke LLP, a national law firm specializing in the defense of manufacturers, their products and their people in complex product liability and personal injury matters around the country. For the past 13 years he has been defending some of the world’s most well-known manufacturers against claims including product defect, negligence, breach of warranty, and commercial practices, and has taken many cases to defense verdicts. Ted has represented manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, heavy trucks and other transportation equipment, construction and industrial equipment, machinery, chemicals, consumer products, component parts, and other regulated and non-regulated products in federal and state courts, including Multi-District Litigation, class-actions and mass tort actions. He also helps protect and defend intellectual property interests, including patents, trademarks and copyrights. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2000 where he was a member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Review. He is admitted to practice in California, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Ted spent several years in Japan after graduating from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Japanese and International Relations.
Shannon Meyer is a certified public accountant with over 13 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting services and has a general background in US corporate, partnership, individual (domestic and international), trust, estate, and gift taxation. He is currently with Deloitte Tax and specializes in serving international assignment programs and high net worth individuals in personal income tax compliance and planning. He started his career in January 1999 in the Omaha, Nebraska office. He served three months on a large engagement in Georgia during 2003 and has completed two short-term rotations to Deloitte’s Hyderabad, India office. From Jan. 2008-Dec. 2011, Shannon performed an expatriate assignment leading the US Global Employer Services team based in Brussels, Belgium. Since that time he has relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
