Corporate Roundtable with Mr. Kenzo Sawai on Thursday, October 3

Corporate Roundtable Speaker: Mr. Kenzo Sawai, Chairman of the Board of Upsher-Smith Laboratories, LLC.

We are organizing a Corporate Roundtable with Mr. Kenzo Sawai, Chairman of the Board at Upsher-Smith, Laboratories, LLC. In 2017, Sawai Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. acquired US-based Upsher-Smith, and they have since forged a successful relationship. The topic for this event is the integration of Sawai Pharmaceutical and Upsher-Smith.

Founded in 1929, Sawai Pharmaceutical has grown into one of the leading generics companies in Japan. Guided by its corporate philosophy, “Always Putting Patients First,” Sawai Pharmaceuticals markets generic drugs and delivers them to patients throughout Japan.

Mr. Kenzo Sawai joined the family’s business in 2001 where he has held several senior executive positions and continues to serve as Sawai’s Senior Managing Executive Officer. He is also a member of Sawai’s Board of Directors.

As Chairman of the Board for Upsher-Smith, Mr. Kenzo Sawai is the most senior Sawai executive serving at the Company’s Minnesota headquarters. He works with Upsher-Smith President & CEO Rusty Field to lead strategy and decision-making for the U.S. pharmaceutical company and is instrumental in working to generate and leverage synergies between the two companies.

Within the Japanese generic pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Sawai currently serves as a permanent representative to the NHI Pricing Committee of The Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Associations of Japan.

A light continental breakfast will be provided.

Please RSVP to attend this event.
