This spring we sadly lost Ambassador Mondale who had been a great inspiration to us for many decades and we therefore decided to dedicate this year’s gala to him.

Instead of having one single keynote speaker we have invited several speakers to share their stories about Ambassador Mondale as a tribute to him. We are honored by the participation of Senator Klobuchar, Ambassador of Japan Tomita, and Consul-General of Japan in Chicago Tajima. We will also hear the story of a Minnesotan war veteran who later went back to visit Japan because of an encouraging letter by Mr. Mondale. Please join us to remember the legacy of Ambassador Mondale.
