Hello! I am honored to join the JASM board as its treasurer.

Born in Japan, raised in Minnesota, I have worked at the University of MN for the last couple of decades while eventually finishing my BA in Studio Arts with an emphasis on ceramics. I am currently employed at the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) with a supporting role in financial administration and serve on the board of the University’s Financial System Users Network (FSUN).

I live in a little bungalow in South Minneapolis with my feline boys Charlie and Oliver while continuously struggling to find space to store equipment and supplies for my ever- growing hobbies which include sewing, beading, miniature furniture making, gardening, etc.

As a lifelong learner, I thrive to surround myself with people I respect and admire from whom I can learn and to devote my time and effort to things that reinforce my values and interests. What better way to accomplish this than to get involved with JASM?
